Relaxation is important and beneficial, but most of your clients probably have pain or mobility issues beyond the scope of a relaxation-based massage. Providing consistent results is a powerful way to secure referrals and expand your business. The key to advanced results isn’t just adding more techniques to your resume, but rather gaining a clearer understanding of the dynamics of the body. When you understand how to think about the body more comprehensively, you can apply your techniques for faster, better results.
This course will provide a new lens through which to assess and treat the body and advanced strategies to apply the tools you already have for more effective results. Understand myofascial dynamics, the functional relationships of the body, and how to apply your hands on massage more effectively to address common pain complaints and mobility issues. We’ll discuss the common underlying structural and functional myofascial patterns related to upper and lower back pain, ankle, knee, hip, shoulder, arm, and neck issues. Learn fundamental therapeutic massage strategies to address them effectively.

REGISTRATION REQUIRED - 4 LIVE CE HOURS
Structural Dynamics of Upper Back Pain -
Rethink treatment strategies for these common client complaints - upper back pain, achy rhomboids, and tight trapezii. Understanding the cause of this pain and tension pattern enables the therapist to help their clients resolve this issue rather than just providing temporary relief. Learn the functional biomechanics and structural dynamics of the chest, abdominals, and thoracic spine that can lead to chronic aching, trigger points, and pain in the upper back. This course includes demonstration of hands on approaches to address these areas to effectively resolve clients' pain and restore function.
Structural Dynamics of Lower Back Pain -
Lower back pain is one of the most common complaints from clients, but the issue rarely starts in the lower back which means the treatment shouldn't either. Learn the functional biomechanics of the pelvis and associated muscles that can contribute to chronic and acute lower back pain. Course includes demonstration of hands on approaches to addressing the underlying patterns in order to offer lasting relief. When you understand how the body works, you can use your hands on techniques for more efficient, lasting results.
